Blood On Their Hands

I borrowed the title of the newspaper "THE DAILY OBSCURER", from a novel written by Robert Tressell's, "THE RAGGED TROUSERED PHILANTHROPIST.
A novel written about how a group
of house painters during the Edwardian period, were being exploited by their employers, the local authority, and the whole capitalist system, and how the system is perpetuated with the allegiance of the press and the way in which vested interest conclude to uphold a rotten corrupt system helped also, unwittingly, by the
misinformed sufferers of that system. Heartbreakingly, I
recalled a conversation with a first-time voter about their voting intentions, the person in mind was totally confused, thinking I was talking about "Britain's Got Talent'!!
In Liverpool in the 1980's the city was run by a very left-wing political organisation "Militant" which was hated and feared by the "Margaret Thatcher's" conservative government. A government hell bent on discrediting anything to do with socialist minded city of Liverpool. The "Sun" newspaper a right-
wing mouthpiece for the Tory government, fed by police to cover up lies to hide their incompetence, in planning and administration, concocted a story of events blaming the fans for the disaster. These lies came under the "sun" infamous headline THE TRUTH which stated drunken fans broke down the gates of the stadium creating a stampede which caused the crushing to death of fans who apparently fought with "brave"
police, stole from and urinated on the dead victims.
I myself watched the events unfold live on TV. I saw fans pulling fans to safety in the upper terrace, fans breaking boarding to make, makeshift stretchers.
After a series of inquiries, it was concluded that:
1. The chief inspector had no experience of crowd control
2. The event was held at an unsuitable venue
3. The wrong stand TOO SMALL to house the Liverpool fans
4. The chief police officer opened the wrong gates to alleviate, the crushing outside the ground
Also, it transpired that evidence was altered, CCTV was missing.
This all happened in a free democratic society when the powers conspire i.e., government, press and police.
