2023

Welcome to the 11th Out of Sight Out of Mind exhibition. It shows artworks by 213 people who have experience of mental health issues.

The exhibition presents a wide range of themes and experiences. Many people have responded to this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival theme: ‘Revolution’. Some are speaking about personal revolutions and others offer their vison for a revolution on a societal scale.

This year the last room in the basement presents the ‘Manifesto Room’, where visitors are invited to consider what they would like from a revolution.

2023 Poster

Announcing the 11th Out of Sight Out of Mind 2023 poster!

Since 2013 all of the OOSOOM posters have been designed by Michael Dawson in close collaboration with the Planning Group.

Poster planning began with discussions around the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival’s theme which this year is ‘revolution’.  They chatted about revolutions that spring forth through collective action and shared ideals developed over generations, and those that happen quietly, internally, personally and every day.

What does it mean to you? 2023

Each year we ask; if you are a visitor to the exhibition, an exhibitor, a friend or relative of one, a project partner or anyone else at all, ‘What does the exhibition means to you?’

We appreciate the responses and hearing the different meanings the exhibition has.
